5 Star Green Star Mixed Use Developments
VicUrban seeks Proposals from suitably qualified parties with a proven ability to deliver 5 Star Green Star mixed use developments.
Revitalising Central Dandenong is a $290 million Victorian Government urban renewal initiative, led by VicUrban in partnership with the City of Greater Dandenong.
RCD is expected to deliver substantial private sector investment opportunities, 4000 new homes and 5000 jobs in and around central Dandenong - a major city in Melbourne's south east - in the next 15 years.
Alongside a number of progressing public and private development initiatives, VicUrban is seeking the development of two separate sites in central Dandenong to deliver mixed use buildings that are:
- Architecturally distinctive and indicative of the new central Dandenong
- Capable of accommodating a mix of uses including retail, A-Grade commercial office and residential
- Environmentally responsive, achieving a minimum of 5 Star Green Star Design and As-Built rating
- Commercially viable
To select a prospective developer for each of the two sites, VicUrban intends to conduct a single-stage bid process for award of a limited and conditional Exclusive Rights Agreement (ERA) for each site.
VicUrban is seeking initial bid submissions from parties who possess the capacity, capability and experience to deliver large scale mixed use development.
Submissions may be made for either or both sites. VicUrban will individually assess the submissions made for each site.
VicUrban intends to select a prospective developer for each site in October 2010.
